Official General Rules
Applies To All Contests

1. To be eligible for a prize in a Musicpyre promotion, participants must be at least 18 years old unless stated otherwise. Valid identification proving age must be shown when claiming a prize that isn't mailed.
2. Participants may not enter on behalf of someone else unless otherwise indicated.
3. Only one winner per household is allowed for any Musicpyre promotion within a one-year timeframe.
4. Musicpyre is not liable for lost or delayed mail, issues with telephone or fax equipment, or email system failures that might prevent a contestant from participating.
5. Winners are responsible for all taxes related to their prize. A W-9 form from Musicpyre must be signed before claiming any prize worth over $100.
6. Participants must be U.S. citizens for prizes valued at $100 or more unless specified otherwise.
7. Musicpyre may substitute a prize of equal value at its discretion, whether before or after a winner is chosen.
8. Decisions made by Musicpyre management regarding the interpretation of promotion rules and their administration are final.
9. Rules for the promotion may change at any time at the discretion of Musicpyre management, with updates posted on the Musicpyre website effective immediately.
10. Musicpyre reserves the right to reject any entry that is incomplete or unclear and any entry not aligned with the promotion rules.
11. No rules, promotions, or explanations shall be interpreted in a way that violates relevant laws and regulations, including those of the FCC.
12. Participants should not expect privacy regarding their submitted information or the announcement of winners. Musicpyre may use this information as deemed appropriate.
13. Prizes valued at $100 or more must be claimed within 2 days of notification, or they will be forfeited. Musicpyre is not liable for prize delivery.
14. Entering or responding signifies acceptance of the promotion rules and waives all claims against Musicpyre related to the promotion.
15. No purchase or donation is required to participate, and neither will increase the chances of winning.
16. Contest participants using the internet must provide a valid email address. Only one entry per email address is allowed for each contest unless stated otherwise.
17. Musicpyre and its sponsors are not liable for any technical failures, network issues, or errors that affect participation.
18. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash and are not transferable.
19. Employees of Musicpyre, along with their families and affiliates, are not eligible to participate.
20. For this competition, a song must include both lyrics and music. All entries must be original, unpublished works created or co-created by the entrant(s). An unpublished song is defined as one that has been self-released by the entrant(s) and not co-published by a commercial music publisher.
21. Previous grand prize winners of the Musicpyre Contest cannot enter the contest for 12 months following their win. Other past entrants are eligible.
22. All artists from around the world may enter. However, local laws will apply for the winner.
23. Each submission must be an original, unpublished musical composition for which the contestant holds the copyright and the right to submit and perform. Musicpyre is not responsible for entries that are late, lost, damaged, misdirected, or improperly transmitted and does not return materials submitted. Musicpyre reserves the right to dispose of all submitted materials.
24. To enter, follow @musicpyre on Instagram. Log in or create a Musicpyre account and use the Join Contest link to submit a previously uploaded MP3 file during the contest submission window (from the 1st to the 15th of each month).
25. The winner will be randomly selected from all entries that score above 7. Both Musicpyre and any user with an account can score songs. Winners will be notified on the 2nd of the month and must claim their prize within 48 hours of notification.
26. Winners will be contacted via the email used to register for their Musicpyre account starting on the 2nd day of the month, pending a check that they are following the official musicpyre instagram account.
27. The prize starts at $100 and can increase by 50% based on donations and sponsorships, up to a maximum of $5,000.
28. Winners must provide the following to qualify:
    • Proof of meeting the contest eligibility criteria.
    • Verification that the composition is original and unpublished.
    • Confirmation of copyright ownership for the composition.
    • A performance license and mechanical and synchronization licenses for recording rights.
    • A publicity release (collectively referred to as the "Affidavit") within 2 days of notification. Failure to return the Affidavit within 2 days or providing false information will result in disqualification, and an alternate winner will be chosen. Affidavits for winners under 18 must be countersigned by a parent or guardian. All Affidavits will be verified by Musicpyre. By submitting, contestants permit the use of their name, likeness, and voice for promotional purposes without additional compensation. Musicpyre retains the right to use any media created in connection with the Musicpyre Contest indefinitely.
29. This contest is void where prohibited. All relevant federal, state, and local laws apply.
    • Entries must consist of original, unpublished songs.
    • There is no time limit for submissions.
    • The song must be performed by the contest entrant. Songs with multiple backing musicians are allowed.
    • Co-written songs may be submitted, but the entrant must be the lead vocalist.
    • While co-writers will be acknowledged, only the performer is eligible to win a prize.
30. The writer(s) maintain all rights to their submitted songs.
31. Musicpyre reserves the right to cancel or suspend any promotion, game, or contest if a virus, bug, hack, or other unforeseen issue compromises its administration, security, or execution. Musicpyre may also award prizes for entries received by alternative means. All internet participants agree to comply with these rules and the Official General Rules stated above.
